Personality:

"I will protect the innocent."

As the daughter of one of the founding members of Overwatch - a worldwide peacekeeping organization - Fareeha was surrounded by extraordinary individuals with a singular goal to make the world a better place, and that upbringing helped solidify the person she is today. In the years that Overwatch operated after the initial Omnic Crisis (when sentient robots took over their factories and waged war on humankind), she witnessed her mother and her mother's colleagues saving the day time and time again, and bringing about world peace among Omnics and humans. It gave her a deep sense of altruism, the desire to protect the innocent, and to make the world a better place. She dreamed of following in her mother's footsteps and joining Overwatch. She is motivated and determined, joining the Egyptian Army and excelling due to her strategic intelligence and fighting prowess. It didn't hurt that she had her own sense of excitement at work here; while her mother hated the idea of 'walking into the unknown', it was Fareeha's favorite part of a mission.

Before Fareeha had a chance to join Overwatch, it collapsed from the inside and was disbanded. People she'd grown up with started dying or disappearing, including her mother. When she was honorably discharged from the Egyptian Army she accepted a position within Helix Security International, which would allow her to continue fighting for good and taking down Omnics that threatened humanity, since Overwatch was no longer an option but she still wanted to contribute as much as she could.

It's through Helix that she truly learns what her mother knew; that team is family; they are the mission, and if you take care of them, they'll take care of you. When her Captain died, she motivated the team to continue by making it personal, and offering to buy them dinner if they succeeded. Then, when she was posed with the one decision she dreaded most - taking out the objective or saving a teammate - she opted to save a teammate. He, in turn, helped take down the Anubis God Program they were fighting while she offered herself as a distraction. To note, after her mother disappeared in a mission and was thought dead, Fareeha got a tattoo of the Eye of Horus - known as an udjat - which her mother had told her is a symbol of protection. Her original intention had been to get it as protection as she continued her endeavors, but after this particular mission with Helix and taking out Anubis, she realized she was wrong; it meant she was the protector over others.

Fareeha is a very organized and individual; she keeps her armor and weapons systems well maintained and in as near perfect as one can get. She holds herself with a military precision, encouraged from her time with the Egyptian Army. However, she can be playful when the situation calls for it, such as having a poster glorifying one of her idols, to reminiscing about it with him years later. When she isn't being reminded about the dark times in life, she has a bit of mischief to her. She doesn't hold grudges. For as bitter as she was, as long as she was, about her mother disappearing, when Ana Amari returns, Fareeha is able to put aside her anger and admit she missed her mother and is glad she's back.

Fareeha is proud about her service and kept a stellar record; receiving a commendation for distinguished service. But she likes to keep busy; to have purpose, and help people. She went right from military service to private security group. "We're a 'kill everything' team." People disappearing from her life made her more determined to do good in their stead. If anything, the events seemed to solidify and validate the person she was; that she needed to be out in the world helping to make it a better place. For some of the awful things that have happened in this world, and some of the terrible things people - her close friends included - have gone through, she's amazingly level-headed. She's got a strong sense of self and purpose.

"Mom always said she dreaded this part -- walking into the unknown, but it's what I always love most." Pharah's mother was one of the founding members of Overwatch, and one of the most skilled snipers in the world. She fought with the hopes her daughter wouldn't have to, but at the same time she taught Fareeha how to defend herself. and didn't talk about how the lives that she took weighed on her soul. Fareeha saw the glory of Overwatch and idolized the extraordinary people around her (when she was young she had a poster of Reinhardt) and it molded her into the fighter she is today.

Within her previous stay in Thisavrou, she had come to the beginnings of establishing herself as a singular person, existing outside of a drive to prove herself to anyone. She'd shared housing with Lion Team and Darin, all of whom helped her in her continuing journey to let people back in.

Setting: Pharah's familiar with how the Ingress messes with time by now; she'd be well-placed to throw herself into the mix, reconnecting with old friends, meeting new people, and trying to find out what happened with all that unaccountable time she was out. She's still a creature of justice, and to that end would do her best to help others.

Abilities/Skills: Trained in martial arts and Raptora weapons systems, Military personnel so above average endurance and strength than regular Joe human, but not superhuman.

Network Sample: So, we've decided to relocate, I see.

[The feed opens on Pharah; it's been a while, and inexplicably the Ingress has pulled her back, but to her it's like no time has passed at all. She has a sense that she's left and returned, simply by the change of scenery, and there's a heavy dose of wariness as she eyes the network.]

I would love a recap if anyone is able. I remember some of you from my time here before, but there are new faces as well. Hello! I am Fareeha Amari. I am trained in offense and advanced armor use and weaponry, in case there arises need for such a position.

Prose/Action Sample: An internment camp. It's certainly not anything that put Pharah at ease, but for the moment it's better to assess the situation and wait until a solution presents itself than rushing in. Although rushing in is what she'd like to do, she's not exactly equipped for it. What she can do, however, is make a perimeter check and familiarize herself with the new surroundings, and get to know the new inhabitants.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" She approaches a couple people struggling with a large sack held between them. It seems to be laden down with several oblong objects, but from her angle Pharah can't see what the sack actually contains. The people give her a nervous, harried look and muttered response, and shuffle along their way as quickly as they can (spoilers; they had dinosaur eggs). Pharah watches them pass, then looks off into the distance where they had come. Looking out into the forested area, she could see signs here and there of their trespass, and decided to strike out and explore the area.

"I wonder what they were up to ..." Their body language certainly didn't instill in her any sort of trust, but there could be many reasons for that. She might discover what that was, or she might not, but the curiosity to poke at the unknown was always an opportunity she didn't mind answering.

It's a dense area, which helps her track back across the careless thieves' path. It lead to the crook of a large tree, massive roots rising out of the ground like two mountain arms hugging a fjord. Inside the crook, she found the remains of a nest, with shoeprints crisscrossing and at least one broken egg that was carelessly handled. Pharah squatted down and lifted up the shell, looking at the still, serpentine body that slipped from inside; still fairly indistinguishable at this age, she couldn't quite determine what it would grow up to be. She did know, however, that the tiny little points that lined its mouth weren't for eating plants.

She cast a glance back over her shoulder, wondering if the people that had commandeered this clutch of eggs had any idea what they were getting in to. She set the eggshell back down, and stood with resolve; it was time to see what their intentions really were.

Taking a page from Lúcio's book, in her spare time Fareeha wrote up a few letters to be delivered in the event of the Ingress locating her Signature.

Well, the time has come. People will find hand-written letters on paper stationary arriving in their mailboxes.
